Mentioned by British GQ
London’s best Chinese restaurants
"Finding a great Chinese takeaway can be tricky, so when you find one that not only delivers fantastic food, but doesn't follow it up with that post-blow out bloated feeling, you know you are on to a winner. Therefore, when we ordered Peking Duck pancakes, egg fried rice, chicken satay skewers and beef cashew satay curry from The Good Earth Wimbledon Village, and felt fine afterwards, we were delighted. The Good Earth is wholesome."

"Built for Michelin between 1905 and 1911 by François Espinasse, and completely restored in 1985, the building blurs the stylish line between art nouveau and art deco. The iconic roly-poly Michelin Man (Bibendum) appears in the exquisite modern stained glass (the originals were removed at the outbreak of WWII and stored in the Michelin factory in Stoke-on-Trent, but subsequently vanished), while the lobby is decorated with tiles showing early-20th-century cars."

Top things to do in London, England
"Rayon heir Stephen Courtauld (of Courtauld Gallery fame) and his wife Virginia (Ginie) built an art-deco mansion next to a 15th-century medieval hall between 1933 and 1937. From the impressive entrance hall with its dome, African black-bean-panelled walls and huge circular carpet with geometric shapes, to the black-marble dining room with silver-foil ceiling and heavy black doors decorated with lacquered animal figures, it appears the couple had taste as well as money."
